PROPECIA is the first and only medicine which is medicly proven to prevent or reverse the effects of male pattern baldness and is approved by the FDA. It specifically lowers the levels of DHT in the scalp, thus helping to reverse the balding process. Men with mild to moderate, hair loss can expect to benefit from the use of PROPECIA. A five year Clinical trial concluded the following. 9 of 10 men on PROPECIA had visible results and 2 out of 3 men on PROPECIA regrew hair, as measured by hair count. All the men in the study who were not taking PROPECIA lost hair. Also a majority of men on PROPECIA were rated as improved by doctors—77% vs 15% with placebo, they also reported their bald spot getting smaller, their hair loss slowing down, and the appearence of their hair improving. Do not take PROPECIA if you have an allergic reaction to PROPECIA or any of the ingredients listed. Symptoms of an allergic reaction to PROPECIA may include skin rash or swelling of the lips or face. If you are not sure whether you should start taking PROPECIA, talk to your doctor. Women who are pregnant or may be pregnant must not take PROPECIA, handle crushed or broken tablets or handle tablets with wet hands. If the active ingredient in PROPECIA is absorbed after swallowing the tablet or through the skin by a woman who is pregnant with a male baby, it may cause the male baby to be born with abnormalities of the sex organs. Whole tablets are coated to prevent contact with the active ingredient during normal handling, provided that the tablets haven't been crushed or broken.
